Improves daily maintenance and management of existing parks through increased Park Operations staffing
The Spokane Parks Levy is a $240 million, 20-year initiative approved by voters in November 2025 to enhance every park in every neighborhood across the City of Spokane.
What projects are included in the Parks levy?
- Enhanced security by more than doubling our Special Commission Park Ranger team
- Improved daily maintenance and vandalism repair by adding 50% more maintenance staff
- Renovate or replace all restrooms (85 +/-)
- Renovate or replace all playgrounds (54 +/-)
- 3 new neighborhood parks (Shiloh Hills, North Indian Trail, and Latah/Hangman)
- 3 major park renovations (Minnehaha, Harmon, and Grant)
- 1 new all-weather, lighted, rectangular sports field
- Renovate all sport courts (14 +/-)
- 1 new disc golf course
- 1 new pump track
- Modernize outdated water systems (12 +/-)
- 5 trail and trailhead renovation/developments
- Natural land acquisition and management
- Renovations to 3-5 existing softball/baseball fields with all-weather surface infields and/or practice lights

Playground Replacements & Renovations
Replaces or repairs every playground in need within Spokane parks, improving playground accessibility, and adding 9 new larger community park playgrounds
Restroom Replacements & Renovations
Repairs or replaces every restroom in Spokane parks, and adds restrooms to key locations
New & Renovated Amenities
Key improvements include sport courts, a new disc golf course and a pump track

Land Acquisition and Development of New Neighborhood Parks
Builds three new parks in areas lacking a park within a 10-minute walk, and acquires land for a fourth

Improve trailhead parking and park trail connections, with a preference for renovating existing trailheads prior to adding new
Natural Land Conservation & Management
Creates a citywide ‘Natural Lands Acquisition and Management Plan’ and a dedicated fund for acquisition of priority natural land
