A proposed renovation of Garry Middle School, which opened in 1970, would update the building’s core to improve safety and efficiency. Renovations include an updated library, cafeteria, nutrition commons, locker rooms, and restructured offices to provide better access to a single, secure point of entry.

The school is adjacent to Nevada Park, would receive improvements such as play equipment, sport fields, and court upgrades. The combined site provides an opportunity for SPS and Parks to coordinate improvement efforts for mutual use by the school and neighborhood communities, maximize efficiency.

SPS and Parks would work in consultation with neighborhood stakeholders to prioritize amenity improvements that will best meet the needs of the Northeast community.
