Two improvements are coming to the SE Sports Complex this summer.

Parking: The City is working with KXLY, the adjacent property owner, to improve access and expand parking to serve the SE Sports Complex. As part of an access exchange approved in 2016, KXLY is building a larger parking lot for the complex (from 88 stalls to about 140 stalls), and improving the entry/exit point. This work is done at no cost to Parks & Recreation.

The fields at SE will remain open, but parking will be temporarily reduced to accommodate construction. Summer was chosen because there are fewer programmed activities at the complex vs. spring and fall, and weather conditions allow for paving.

Restroom: As part of the same project, KXLY is building a new restroom and storage building to serve the fields at no cost to Parks & Recreation. In the meantime, portable toilets are on site, along with the permanent restrooms on the northwest corner near the playground.

Note: KXLY previously built a full U-18 sized soccer field at the SW corner of the complex at no cost to Parks & Recreation.
